Backstory
Atom Pro is the upgraded version of already existing application, Atom 2.0, of Star Health & Allied Insurance. The idea to develop the application arrived after a long discussion on the existing problems faced by the agents and sales managers to do the business.

Built a mobile first application (80% of sales team uses mobile phone to sell policies) ––
Process
Focus Group Interview ––
Gathered the inputs from a group of around 25 agents form different regions of the country.
Age group: 35-55 years
Tech Knowledge: Both, Tech Savvy and Non-Tech Savvy
Results from the interview were as below:
Proposal Journey
Why does my draft proposer is under My Customer section when it is not a customer yet?
Proposal journey is too long and it is very difficult in mobile to see all the sections. Can it be changed a bit?
Once the proposal is filled and shared with the customer, we don’t want that our potential customer make any amends in the proposal. It might effect our commission.
Most of the agents still feel it easier to go to the branch and submit proposal there filling the physically printed form.
My Customer & Leads
Everything is under My Customer module. Sometimes it becomes overwhelming to see the real customer and the potential leads.
There are a lot of documents sent by the Customers. There is no way to filter out the documents only.
If I want to make changes to any existing policy or customer details, I have to visit the branch.
Contest & Participation
How should I know of new events & contests?
How should I participate in the contest and is there any way to view the criteria of participation?
Renewals & Notifications
Although there is a renewals module in the application but I find it easier to visit branch for renewal of policy.
I need to visit branch or need to regularly check the app for the updates on documents submitted.
I visit branch for training and education for any new module or something which comes in the app.
Claims & Earnings
Need to visit the branch for my consolidated business reports & earnings.
For claims, I visit branch because there are a lot of documents involved. And it sometimes takes a bit time for documents approval if done online process.

Used the modern and versatile sans-serif typeface, Inter, to give the application a clean and aesthetic look. Alongside, Inter offers a wide range of font weights and good letter spacing making it ideal for accessibility and usability.

UI Kit:
Used the Untitled UI design kit with some tweaks as per the design theme and colors of the organization. Untitled UI has a perfect blend of both Android and IOS designs.
As the application was developed in react-native, a hybrid application for both the operating systems, it became easy for the developers to adopt this UI kit.
As the application was majorly functionality-driven, we followed the monochromatic theme so that we showcase the solid brand identity.

The blue tone was chosen for its solid brand appeal, trustworthy, and professional appeal.
Other Colors Used
Result
Launched the MVP consisting of modules like Homepage, Quick Quote, Dashboard, etc., in the market with the pilot agents (group of 120 agents) to use the application thoroughly to get the feedbacks.
Apart from some business related bugs, the application was well received by the end users.
Once the thorough testing was done, we plan to launch the phase 1 of the application pan India in August 2025 along with some major modules like Proposal Journey, Leads Dashboard, Renewals, Help & Support, etc.
